Week 34 &35 Digital baby album pages

Hey there

Things are hectic here at the moment. I am looking forward to it quietening down a bit. Currently I am job sharing with myself lol We are in the process of recruiting at work but it means 100% of the workload in less than 50% of the hours. Hence why my blog is a bit bare. All should be back to normal in about 2 weeks :)

I thought I would share some of the recent layouts for Lily's first year album. The digital version. I have kept up pretty well with my project life... all 3 albums... despite the busy times. Phew!

Ooops I just realised I haven't added the background to these ones yet. One day I will go through and tweak all the digi pages for Lily's album in time for Christmas photo books. Her first birthday is 3rd of December so plenty of time to finalise ;)

Hope you have a great weekend ahead.

Been a while...

Oh dear, my poor neglected blog! Not sure I've ever been this long between posts. Shocking!

Things have been a bit busy but still.. no excuse.

Here are my latest design team creations for Scrapmatts:

There is nothing worse than the rush that comes with getting organised for special occasions, so I do like to stay a little ahead. Although normally not this far ahead with Christmas cards. However I am not complaining. 3 less cards to worry about when the Christmas rush begins.

And something else slightly less early but ahead of another special event.. a daddy daughter layout in time for Father's Day. I love the simplicity of this photo of my husband and daughter at the beach. I kept the layout itself fairly simple too, with a little gesso mess and some recycled cardboard mixed in with some chipboard goodness.

My husband is actually on tour with his band on his first Father's Day but plans to fly back home as early as he can on that day to spend time with our daughter :)

Thanks for stopping by :)

Oh Yum!

Hey there

As you may have noticed.... or maybe not. I have been dabbling in digital scrapbooking lately as well as the digital project life. In fact, this is my 4th digital scrapbook layout but I haven't been able to share the other 3 as amazingly enough, they have all been accepted for consideration to be published by Scrapbooking Memories. Wow!! This one wasn't quite magazine quality though haha Still... 3 outta 4. Can't complain!

This layout is actually done using the Becky Higgins Blush Project Life core kit from the Digital Project Life store. Just goes to show these kits are great for more than just Project Life. It also uses a couple of bits from a template.

My daughter was recently given her first strawberry to try and loved it. This was actually her second day of strawberries and there was no hesitation on this occasion. I was actually enjoy an arvo snack while she was meant to be having a nap in my lap... but no. She wanted mummy's snack too. Too cute!

It amazes me that my princess is already 8 months today. It has flown by and the past week or two has been so full of new skills and habits. She is pretty close to crawling, doing the commando thing all around the lounge. She easily pulls herself into sitting position now and with a little help, pulls up to a standing position too and then the first word happened too. Bub. Neither mum or dad won that one. Probably a good thing lol

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Creating with the Bright Skies Polly! PL Kit

Hello

I'm here with a couple of pages to share using the very fabulous Bright Skies Polly! Project Life kit:

Firstly, it's taken me forever to get a post happening. A bit of a crazy past week and a half. However, I must say I totally love love love this kit. The bright colours are very me these days. I absolutely love the cute patterns, the die cuts and the polaroids. Well all of it really but I am a bit obsessed with Echo Park too ;)

So here is some inspiration using this fabulous kit:

Very little was added from my stash, as this kit has so much goodness. However I did add alphas, including some Thickers on my title card and a couple of Studio Calico wood veneer and of course my Dymo labeller for journaling. Love my Dymo!

I am trying to add a splash of handwriting every couple of weeks because as much as I hate how it looks, I know it will be cherished by future generations (hopefully).

Week 29 pages and close ups:

I actually used a couple of items from the last kit on week 29. Some items I loved but did not get to work into my last kit layouts. You can see them on my title card. Otherwise again just alphas and the dymo otherwise... and my journaling is done with one of the new style Becky Higgins pens.

Don't you just love those bright patterns and fun colours throughout this kit. So diverse and easy to work with!

Anyway that is enough from me for this post. It's a little photo heavy so I hope you enjoyed seeing my latest pages. I am now working on last week... although it is late so it is time for bed.
